Executive Director inaugurated surgical skill workshop at AIIMS Bhopal

Bhopal : Today (2/5/23) department of general surgery started a workshop on surgical skills in association with Johnsons and Johnsons institute on wheel. The workshop will continue till 12/05/23. The workshop was inaugurated by executive Director, Prof. Dr Ajai Singh. He emphasized on importance of learning and practicing the basic surgical techniques before actual exposure to the patient. He said practice should be as careful as a real procedure and trainees should make optimum use of this practice sessions. Dr Pradeep Saxena, head, Gen Surgery in his address said that the JNJ LIMO bus parked in AIIMS hospital is well equipped with structured training modules and necessary equipments to impart dry lab, wet lab and laparoscopic surgery skills to trainee doctors. We aim for imparting high-quality hands on training on models based on international standardized guidelines in a monitored work environment outside of Operation Theater. The training will be imparted through video presentations, live demonstration of fine details of techniques and hands-on training.
